Functional Cupping | Manual Therapy For Recovery & Pain Relief
At Edge, we combine the ancient suction cupping concept with modern physical therapy to restore movement while decreasing pain. Functional cupping is a form of manual therapy different than cupping in traditional Chinese medicine because we involve the passive and active movement of the cups. Some movement examples are: manipulating the underlying soft tissue and fluid via sliding the cups, having patients perform basic functional movements with the cups on, and stretching with the cups on for myofascial release.
